K&N Engineering, Inc. has been the innovative leader in air induction and
filter technology since 1969, serving the needs of the automotive, motorcycle,
marine, industrial and military markets. Headquartered in Riverside, California,
K&N also has a manufacturing facility in the United Kingdom that covers Scandinavia,
Russia, the Middle East and the European markets. K&N's distribution centers
are located in Riverside, Warrington, and Venlo. To further internationalize,
in 2000 a Sales and Marketing office was established in Eindhoven, the Netherlands
and further expansion will continue into the future.
K&N first developed air filters specifically for
the motorcycle racing market. With the success K&N
experienced in the motorcycle market, the company decided
to branch out to the automotive market. K&N quickly
grew to be the world's most widely used performance
air filter in both the automotive and motorcycle markets.
Today, K&N equips approximately 80% of all off-road
racing vehicles. Racers using K&N products have
won in nearly every major off-road event in the world,
including Pikes Peak, the Baja 500 and 1000 and the
grueling Paris to Dakar race. K&N also dominates
some of the world's most prestigious and technical
racing series.
To keep on the cutting edge of technology, K&N
Engineering has its own technical facility devoted
solely to product development and testing. The facility
has two chassis dynamometers to ensure that all K&N
air intake kits and filters are technically designed
for the highest increase in horsepower possible. Such
testing and development has yielded products such as
our Generation II Fuel Injection Performance Kits,
which lead the industry in horsepower gains.
K&N composites are some of the most sophisticated
high performance composites available in the market
today. The use of advanced composites such as Kevlar,
carbon fiber, and other arimid fiber products have
been used in the development of a number of K&N's
products. K&N composites provide the high performance
enthusiast with leading edge technology to ensure winning
results.
K&N has capitalized on its racing heritage along
with it's premium air flow and dirt filtration, environmental
friendliness and ten-year, million-mile limited warranty
to catapult itself to the front of the performance
air filtration industry. K&N has garnered numerous
awards from SEMA, including "Manufacturer of the
Year in 1994, 1996, 1997, and 2000 making K&N the
first company to receive this prestigious award four
times.
